Auto Parts Accessories
Auto parts accessories are typically thought of as the
features that help make up a vehicle but are not fundamental to making
the car run. For example, electric windows, car radios, odometers, air
bags and windshield wipers all qualify as auto parts accessories. These
innovations make the driving experience more accessible, safer, and
more luxurious.
And while these parts may not technically be essential to making a
car run, they are standard issue in most every vehicle simply because
of how they enhance the driving experience. Most people wouldn’t
want a car without windshield wipers, as it is unsafe; nor would most
people want a car without the ability to play music, as that can greatly
enhance the driving experience.
Sound systems in cars are now seen as one of the most vital elements
to certain consumers when purchasing a new car. Paul Galvin invented
the first car radio in 1929. These radios were not available from carmakers
or dealers, but had to be purchased separately. The technology has come
a long way since that time. Today, driving with the windows down and
the radio or CD player blaring has become a part of lore in American
popular culture.
